RESOLUTION NO. R04-079

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF MONO,

COMMENDING THE MONO COUNTY SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM FOR THEIR

SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE OF MONO COUNTY

         WHEREAS, the Mono County Search and Rescue Team is a part of the Mono County Sheriff's Department, and

         WHEREAS, on June 2, 2004 in Landowne, Virginia, the National Association of Search and Rescue awarded the Mono County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team, the National Search and Rescue Award for the State of California

         WHEREAS, the award was given to the Mono County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team for their proficient actions during the many and complex Search and Rescue missions in Mono County, under very extreme conditions as well as their outstanding leadership on Statewide Search and Rescue related issues

         NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors, representing the people of Mono County, wishes to commend the Mono County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team upon receiving the National Association of Search and Rescue State Award

         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors extends all best wishes for future success

         APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7^th day of December, 2004 by the following vote of the Board of Supervisors, County of Mono:
