Thanks to everyone who was able to come out for swiftwater especially on short notice. A special thanks to Pete and JP and Jon for helping make things happen before and during the classes! The water came up perfectly for our training between the decent snow pack, a wet week, followed by a warm week. Members from different agencies throughout the county were in attendance. Between the two classroom sessions we held, we had 35 people in attendance from Mono SAR, Cal Fire, Long Valley Fire, Lee Vining Fire, Bridgeport Fire, and paramedics. The field session we had 19 people, 4 on land and 15 in the water from Mono SAR, Long Valley Fire, and Bridgeport Fire. Both sessions were excellent and filled with excitement. Hopefully we have decent water again next year! Here are some pictures from the festivities.
